Rotary Rosebud – Rye
The Rotary Club of Rosebud was chartered on 29 April 1971. The club has a long-standing tradition of community service, focusing on various local and international projects. Over the years, Rosebud-Rye Rotary has initiated and supported numerous programs aimed at improving community welfare, health, and education.
The club engages in activities such as organizing local events, supporting youth programs, and contributing to global initiatives like polio eradication and disaster relief. They also collaborate with local schools, hospitals, and other organizations to address community needs. One of their notable projects is the annual “Art and Craft Market,” which helps raise funds for various charitable causes.
Collaboration and Impact
Both the Rosebud and Rye Rotary Clubs are part of Rotary International, a global organization dedicated to humanitarian service, promoting peace, and advancing goodwill. They frequently collaborate on larger projects that benefit the wider Mornington Peninsula region. These clubs embody the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self,” contributing significantly to the social fabric of their communities.
Their combined efforts in areas like youth development, health, education, and disaster response have left a lasting impact on both local residents and international beneficiaries. The clubs also provide a platform for networking, leadership development, and fostering community spirit.
