
The Capel Sound Invitational is an annual fun-focused sailing event held after Christmas by the Rosebud Yacht Club in partnership with the Rye Yacht Club. It’s a single-day event in a short weather window from December 27-30, designed for single-reach sailing with a simple course set on the waters off the sandbar between Rye and Rosebud Yacht Clubs. The event is free to enter and has grown to include over 100 entries from various clubs around the bay, making it the largest dedicated single-reach event in Australia.
