We have a social night following the event. It’s going to be a banger! \nThe rules and sailing instructions remain the same – 1 lap for monos\, 2 laps for cats. And the best part of it all also remains the same – leave from your own club\, return to your own club\, and then put the boat back into its pyjamas into your own club. No need to de-mast it or anything! \nBut we hear you ask about the wind direction. Well\, we heard your voice loud and clear last year – you just want to send it\, full noise and on the raggedy edge. As Lord Nelson once said\, \n‘Never mind the manoeuvres\, just go straight at them!’ \nHang the tactics\, hang the angles\, let’s just go for speed. Other clubs think we are bonkers – we just think it’s fun. \nThe details: \nDecember 27/28/29/30 (depending on the best conditions) \nRace start: approx. 1:30pm \nWhere: Start from your own club (Rosebud or Rye) \nConditions: 500ml of fresh\, drinkable water per person must be on board the boat \nHow will we know which day is chosen? Keep a weather eye\, and a sharp watch on communication platforms like email\, facebook and whatsapp. \nSynchronised starts\, multiple support boats\, and even a few windsurfers and McCrae boats coming to the party this year too… It’s going to be epic. \nOh! And don’t forget the battle continues at the bar afterwards – Escape Brewery (behind Bunnings)\, 6pm that night. \nWe look forward to seeing you out there!
